Tecnovia at the 19th National Geotechnical Engineering Congress
Between 11 and 14 May, Tecnovia attended the 19th National Geotechnical Congress, the sector’s leading event in Portugal, held at the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro campus. The event was organised by the Portuguese Geotechnical Society (SPG), in partnership with UTAD, under the theme “Challenges and Innovation in Geotechnics”.
Throughout the congress, topics such as new construction techniques, digitalisation, smart monitoring, innovative materials and the growing role of artificial intelligence in the sector were highlighted.
“Sustainable Solutions for Wearing Courses: Assessment of the Structural Performance of a Modified Bituminous Mix Containing 30% RAP on a Test Section”
Developed in partnership with LNEC, this study focused on evaluating the structural performance of a tempered bituminous mixture incorporating 30% recycled aggregate (RAP), applied to an experimental section. The project involved the participation of Eng. Fátima Batista, Eng. Anabela Maia and Eng. Vânia Marecos (LNEC), in collaboration with Eng. Pedro Nunes, Eng. Nuno Fernandes and Eng. Tiago Ribeiro (Tecnovia).
“Quebradas–Amparo Road Tunnel: from design to construction and on-site adaptation”
Presented by TPF Consultores, this case study highlighted the main challenges and technical solutions adopted during the construction of the tunnel, a project carried out by Tecnovia.
Participation in this conference reinforces Tecnovia’s commitment to innovation, sustainability and the sharing of technical and scientific knowledge within the construction sector.
