Tecnovia Angola at the Sika Summit

Tecnovia Angola participated in SIKA Summit Angola 2025, one of the most important events in the construction sector, held in the city of Luanda.

The meeting brought together various professionals and leading entities to discuss the role of technical standards in promoting quality, safety and sustainability in public and private works.

Tecnovia Angola was represented by engineers Juanito Alves and Eliseu Messo, who presented the topic ‘Standardisation in Construction: Practical Application Cases’, based on the experience gained in the Quiluma & Maboqueiro Project, developed for Azule Energy and Saipem Luxembourg S.A.

The presentation highlighted the importance of international standards as an essential pillar of quality and efficiency, showing how their rigorous adaptation to the Angolan reality makes it possible to raise execution standards and ensure consistent and sustainable results.

The importance of standards as the basis for quality and safety

During the presentation, speakers from Tecnovia Angola explained that the application of standards is an indispensable technical management tool, capable of transforming good practices into verifiable and measurable procedures.

Three practical cases involving cement, steel and galvanisation were also presented, highlighting the application of international and national standards in the execution of the work, ensuring the quality, traceability and safety of the infrastructure.

Sustainability and innovation at every stage

Through the optimisation of mixtures, the reuse of materials and responsible waste management, the organisation has reduced the environmental impact of its activities and strengthened operational efficiency.

One example shared was the reuse of lean concrete bases in foundations, a practice that reduces waste and extends the useful life of structures.
