In 1976, the construction of the Furnas – Ribeira Quente road on the Island of São Miguel marked the beginning of our activity in the Autonomous Region of the Azores.
We have since rapidly expanded in the Azores, playing a pioneering role in the development of the archipelago.
The implementation of key infrastructure including maritime infrastructures, motorways, airports and buildings has contributed to the development of the region, and we are extremely proud to play such an active role in its development.
Following a strategy of sustained growth, we have strengthened our active role in the development of the Autonomous Region of the Azores, with facilities on the different islands, our own equipment and the training of human capital, positioning ourselves as one of the best companies in the region.
At the end of 1997, TECNOVIA AÇORES – Sociedade de Empreitadas S.A. was established through a de-merger from the TECNOVIA parent company, inheriting a legacy of human capital, equipment and technical expertise.
The ISO 9001 certification of our quality management systems in 2005 recognises the quality of our work.
