Shipyard of Água de Pena concessioned to Tecnovia Madeira

The concession for the private use of a portion of the public sea domain and the exploitation of the Naval Shipyard of Água de Pena were granted by the Regional Government of the Autonomous Region of Madeira to Tecnovia Madeira.

Located under the runway of Cristiano Ronaldo International Airport, in Madeira, Machico municipality, the shipyard has an area of ​​14.500m2.

Destined for the repair and parking of boats, the shipyard has some constructions to support the nautical activity, namely concierge, administrative area, workshop pavilion and areas for commercial spaces.

The concession took place on 21 January 2019 and is granted for 10 years.

This new naval and recreational nautical concession, integrates the business diversification strategy and investment in the sea economy, initiated by Tecnovia Madeira with the concessions of the Recreation Port of Calheta and Naval Shipyard of the Socorridos.

This is an area of ​​activity where the Tecnovia has gained high know-how and expertise, contributing to the development of the Economy of the Autonomous Region of Madeira, combining the sea, nautical and tourism.
