Tecnovia junta-se para o VIII Encontro Estratégico

On March 9th and 10th, Grupo Tecnovia gathered its management teams at the Hotel Golf Mar, in Vimeiro, for two days of immersion into the Group’s strategy, values, and culture. The 2026 Strategic Meeting was a historic moment for sharing knowledge and experiences, celebrating a legacy built with determination and the wealth of a diversity that makes us stronger.

Luís Guilherme Canas da Costa, Vice-President of Grupo Tecnovia, opened the event by contextualizing the challenging global climate—geopolitical conflicts, instability, and cost pressures—which directly impact the Group. He highlighted efficiency and innovation as essential drivers for development and underlined two key milestones: the start of the road project in Uganda and the entry into a new market, the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Gonçalo Regalado, CEO of Banco Português de Fomento, shared an inspiring vision regarding the role of national companies in economic development, the role of the Development Bank, and strategic markets for internationalization.

Pedro Rebelo de Sousa, Chairman of the General Meeting of Grupo Tecnovia, reflected on Vision, survival capacity, and strategic thinking as pillars of the Group. He reminded the audience that the true strength of the organization lies not in its size, but in the dynamics, resilience, talent, and culture that drive it.

Miguel Barreiros and Joaquim Martins, CFO and Financial Director, presented the Group’s 2025 global results, the business portfolio, and the goals and challenges for 2026, highlighting specific projects in each geography.

The closing remarks were delivered by João Guilherme Canas da Costa, Board Member of the Group, who praised the quality of the presentations. He reinforced the focus on occupational health and safety as a transversal theme and highlighted three essential priorities for performance: internal technical capacity, organization and preparation as tools for excellence, and digital transformation as a driver of efficiency.

LISTENING TO THE FIELD: CHALLENGES AND GEOGRAPHIES

The meeting served as a stage for presentations from the Group’s various companies, which shared their 2025 results and mapped out the challenges and opportunities for 2026. The performance analysis of each unit demonstrated how local strategy contributes to the Group’s global solidity.

Experiences and solutions regarding the logistical and operational challenges of each business area and geography were shared— an exchange between those on the ground that strengthens cohesion and sustains the growth of the entire organization.

A MILESTONE FOR THE FUTURE: THE 1st SUSTAINABILITY REPORT

Our commitment to the future has taken concrete form with the publication of the Tecnovia Group’s first Sustainability Report. This strategic document marks a milestone in our organisation’s history, reflecting our commitment to integrating best ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) practices into all our operations.

Through clear targets and a transparent vision, we reaffirm our responsibility towards the environment and the communities in which we operate, ensuring that Tecnovia’s growth goes hand in hand with the preservation of resources and sustainable social development.

The presentation served to communicate the challenges we face, the environmental, social and governance issues that guide our actions, and how we generate shared value, openly and rigorously setting out our current performance and the objectives that will guide us in the coming years.

This statement is a public commitment to a fairer, more resilient and sustainable future, built in partnership with our employees, customers, partners and communities, in the certainty that the choices we make today shape the world we leave to future generations.

CULTURE IN ACTION: LEADOUT AND DNA DYNAMICS

The spirit of collaboration was taken to the next level with the Leadout and DNA team-building dynamics. These moments, designed to test agility, communication, and mutual trust, provided both great fun and profound learning about what it means to work as a team under pressure.

Through these challenges, we strengthened the bonds between the management of different Group companies and understood that our DNA is shaped by resilience and the ability to find, together, innovative solutions for the most complex challenges of modern engineering.

FAMILY TRADITION: THE PRESENCE OF THREE GENERATIONS

The essence of Grupo Tecnovia was celebrated through a moment of rare symbolism: the joint presence of three generations of the founder’s family. This meeting of historical legacy, consolidated management, and the vision of new generations personifies the longevity and stability of our “home.” This moment demonstrated that the Group’s founding values remain alive and continue to be transmitted with the same rigor, ensuring that Tecnovia maintains its family identity while courageously adapting to the challenges of a constantly changing global market.
