Description

Contracted by RAMEDM – Estradas da Madeira S.A., for a total of 27 900 000.00€, the 1446 m long Via Expresso connection to the Port of Funchal included the following work:

• Earthmoving and demolition of reinforced concrete structures, including a grain silo

• Excavation, waterproofing, drainage and lining of a 670m tunnel with a 60 m2 cross-section

• Special projects: Bridge over the Ribeiro Seco stream, Caminho das Virtudes road and pedestrian overpasses

• The restoration of a 600 m stretch of the Ribeiro Seco stream, enclosing it in a reinforced concrete structure with a 4 m x 4 m section

• Levada do Cavalo tunnel with a length of approximately 100 m

• Electrical installations and ventilation equipment at Pontinha tunnel

• Drainage
