Project Description
Located in a newly developed prime area of Lagoa, northwest of the city center, the DoubleTree by Hilton is part of the modern Urbanização do Pombal, designed to integrate residential, commercial, and leisure spaces harmoniously.
The hotel occupies a rectangular plot of 3,150m², with a north-south orientation, bordered by streets to the west, north, and south, and facing the urbanization’s central square to the east. This layout allowed for the development of a balanced and functional architectural project, spread across five floors—four above ground level and one below—using the central square’s elevation as a reference. The natural slope of the land, with an elevation difference of approximately one floor between the east and west façades, enabled the creation of a full ground floor on the western side, housing the main entrances, services, and parking areas.
Situated in an urban context characterized by wide streets, broad sidewalks, and a strong emphasis on greenery, the DoubleTree by Hilton stands out for its modern and understated architecture. Without excessive stylistic elements, the building reflects a balance between functionality and the identity of the surrounding development, reinforcing the coherence of the architectural ensemble.
The project involved the construction of a high-quality hotel, combining efficiency with elevated construction standards. The meticulous selection of materials, attention to detail, and precise coordination between various specialties were essential to ensuring a final result that honored the initial vision of the project.
With a privileged location and exceptional accessibility, this hotel not only enhances the Urbanização do Pombal but also strengthens the tourism and service offerings of Lagoa. It is a landmark project in the redevelopment and modernization of this emerging urban center.
