Tecnovia Angola plants over 2,000 mangroves in sustainability initiative

In the context of corporate responsibility, Tecnovia Angola highlights one of its team building initiatives focused on environmental preservation: the reforestation campaign of more than 2,000 mangroves in Benfica, in the province of Luanda.

Tecnovia Angola joined the “Otchiva – Protection and Restoration of Mangroves” project, an initiative that ensures the conservation and restoration of mangrove ecosystems in Angola.

The activity brought together employees from different areas and functions of the company, united by a common goal: to contribute to the restoration of vital ecosystems and help nature. Each employee contributed directly to the transformation of the territory by manually planting mangroves, understanding in practice the importance of this simple but profound gesture of reforestation.

The Importance of Mangroves

The decision to plant mangroves was not accidental, given the significant environmental impact of these vegetation zones. Mangroves are coastal ecosystems located in tropical and subtropical regions, composed of trees and shrubs that grow in saltwater areas, where seawater meets river water.

These ecosystems act as a natural buffer against coastal erosion, help filter water, and provide essential habitats for various species of fauna and flora. In addition, mangroves play a crucial role in combating climate change, acting as true carbon sinks by storing large amounts of CO2 and mitigating the greenhouse effect.

We Grow By Doing Together

The impact of this campaign is a clear example of how teamwork can generate extraordinary results. Each Tecnovia Angola employee involved in the activity not only contributed physically, but also connected with the purpose of creating a more sustainable future. The union between the various areas and functions of the organization brought a collective strength that amplified the impact of the action.

More than just an activity, the mangrove reforestation campaign is a call to action for everyone. Each of us has a crucial role to play in building a greener and more sustainable future. Participating in this type of initiative is not only an opportunity to help the environment, but also an opportunity to grow as individuals and as a community.

Preserving the Planet

Tecnovia Angola’s initiative also invites reflection on individual and collective environmental impact, encouraging everyone to take responsibility and action to preserve the planet.

Together, we grow by doing and make a difference!
