FLORES
In the Industrial Facilities at Areeiro, on the island of Flores, Tecnovia Açores produces aggregates, ready-mix concrete, precast concrete and bituminous mixtures, which have been used in several important contracts on the island.
Production and quality control is performed by the Tecnovia Açores laboratory in compliance with applicable testing standards.
The quality management systems at Areeiro are NP EN ISO 9001 certified, aggregates and bituminous mixtures bear CE marking in compliance with harmonised product standards, and the ready-mix concrete is EN 206-1 certified.

PRODUCTS AND SERVICES
The basalt extracted at Areeiro has excellent qualities for the production of aggregates.
Aggregates are produced with a range of grain sizes suited for use in construction and civil engineering, namely in pavements, ready-mix concrete, precast concrete, micro-agglomerates and bituminous mixtures.
The range of available grain sizes is predetermined, but other sizes can be produced upon consultation. Performance measurements for aggregates are provided upon request.

The Flores bituminous mixtures plant produces various types of hot bituminous mixtures for use in roads, airports or other heavy-duty surfaces.
The Flores plant produces a predetermined range of bituminous mixtures, and performance measurements are provided upon request.

The Flores concrete plant produces concrete of all strength, exposure and consistency classes, mortars, lightweight aggregate concrete, pigmented concrete and concrete with a prescribed composition, to meet the requirements of our clients and contract work.
The fleet of concrete mixers and concrete pumps at this plant is scaled according to production needs.
Our quality control laboratory on the island of Flores tests soils, aggregates, concrete and bituminous mixtures, in compliance with the testing standards or technical specifications in force, in support of Tecnovia Açores operations on the island of Flores.
