VISEU
In operation under Tecnovia S.A. since 1986, the industrial centre of Viseu is located in Barbeita, near the village of Caçador, approximately 100 m from the IP5.
The Vale de Vaca quarry, where good quality grey granite is extracted, contains the raw material for the production of aggregates, ready-mix concrete, precast concrete, mortars and bituminous mixtures which have been used in several important construction projects throughout the region, over the course of the last 30 years.
The quality management systems at the Viseu centre are NP EN ISO 9001 certified, and products bear CE marking in compliance with harmonised product standards.

PRODUCTS AND SERVICES
The Viseu rushing and classification plant produces aggregates with a wide range of grain sizes, from riprap and gravel to coarse sand and washed sand, for use in construction and civil engineering.
The range of available aggregates is predetermined, but other grain sizes can also be produced upon consultation.
Performance measurements for aggregates are provided upon request.

The Viseu bituminous mixtures plant produces several types of traditional bituminous mixtures, polymer- or rubber-modified mixtures, mixtures with pigments, fibres or similar additives, and reclaimed bituminous mixtures.
The Viseu plant produces a predetermined range of bituminous mixtures, but other mixtures can be produced upon consultation.

The Tecnovia Concrete Plant in Viseu produces concrete of all strength, exposure and consistency classes, concrete with a prescribed composition, light concrete and pigmented concrete. The fleet of concrete mixers and concrete pumps at this plant is scaled according to the needs of our clients.
Tecnovia has the technical skills to meet other needs our clients may have, thus ensuring specific contracted requirements.
The production and quality control of products is performed by Tecnovia’s laboratory in Viseu in compliance with applicable testing standards. The laboratory performs tests on soils, aggregates, concrete, cement grouts, bituminous mixtures and <em>on-site</em> tests in compliance with the test standards or technical specifications in force in Portugal. In the documentation you will find detailed information on the tests performed by this Tecnovia S.A. laboratory.
The measuring and monitoring equipment is subject to metrological control, and activities are internally and externally audited, within the scope of Quality certification and production control.
