ALBUFEIRA
Operated by Tecnovia S.A. since July 2017, the Quinta do Escarpão limestone quarry has excellent characteristics for the manufacturing of aggregates for the construction industry.
Located near the town of Ferreiras, approximately 2 km from the EN 125, the aggregates can easily be transported by road to different locations in the Algarve.
Production and quality control is performed by Tecnovia’s laboratory in compliance with applicable testing standards, and the aggregates bear CE marking in compliance with harmonised product standards.

PRODUCTS AND SERVICES
At the Quinta do Escarpão quarry, limestone aggregates, riprap, washed and unwashed gravel, pit-run gravel, and sand of various grain sizes are manufactured. The aggregates can be used in architecture, construction and civil engineering, namely in pavements, mortars, ready-mix concrete, precast concrete and bituminous mixtures, among other applications.
The range of available aggregates is predetermined, but other grain sizes can also be produced upon consultation, and the Declarations of Performance of the aggregates are provided upon request

The Escarpão – Albufeira asphalt plant plant produces various types of bituminous mixtures, such as traditional mixtures, polymer- or rubber-modified mixtures, mixtures with pigments, fibres or similar additives, and reclaimed bituminous mixtures.
The Albufeira asphalt plant produces a predetermined range of asphalt concrete products, but other mixtures can be produced upon consultation.
Performance measurements are provided upon request.

The Tecnovia Concrete Plant produces concrete of all strength, exposure and consistency classes, concrete with a prescribed composition, light concrete and pigmented concrete. The fleet of concrete mixers and concrete pumps at this plant is scaled according to the needs of our clients.
Tecnovia has the technical skills to meet other needs our clients may have, thus ensuring specific contracted requirements.
The Escarpão laboratory performs quality control tests on the aggregates, under a manufacturing production control framework, and can also perform additional tests upon request.
