FERREIRA DO ALENTEJO
Operated by Tecnovia S.A. since 2009, the Ferreira do Alentejo Production Centre produces a wide range of aggregates as well as traditional and special bituminous mixtures, and is a well-known supplier for contracts in the Alentejo.
The high quality of the gabbro extracted from the Castelo Ventoso quarry makes it ideal for the manufacturing of rock wool and aggregates for the construction industry.
Located in the municipality of Ferreira do Alentejo, approximately 7 km from the IP8 exit to Odivelas, Castelo Ventoso has good access routes, and material can by dispatched by road or rail, from the Cuba station.
The production and quality control is performed by the Tecnovia laboratory in compliance with the applicable testing standards.
The quality management systems at the Ferreira do Alentejo Production Centre are NP EN ISO 9001 certified, and products carry CE marking in compliance with harmonised product standards.

PRODUCTS AND SERVICES
The Castelo Ventoso crushing and classification facilities produce a wide range of high quality aggregates which can be used in civil engineering, namely in railways, pavements, ready-mix concrete, precast concrete and bituminous mixtures, including more demanding applications, such as rough drainage layers for road pavements.
The range of available aggregates is predetermined, but other grain sizes can also be produced upon consultation. Performance measurements for aggregates are provided upon request.

The Castelo Ventoso plant produces a predetermined range of bituminous mixtures, but other mixtures can be produced upon consultation.
The various types of bituminous mixtures available at the plant are defined, and other types of bituminous mixtures can be produced upon consultation.
Performance measurements for bituminous mixtures are provided upon request.
