Description
Carried out for Brisa in 2017, the project for the stabilisation of the excavation slopes at km 7+200 (N/S) and 12 +250 (S/N) along the São João da Talha / Sta Iria da Azóia / Alverca subsections of the A1 Motorway, included the following work:
Km7+200 (N/S)
Demolition of the reinforced concrete and slope re-profiling, as the latter was showing signs of wasting and collapse.
Placement of 32 mm diameter pins, distributed length- and height-wise over the entire surface of the slope.
Installation of geodrains at two levels up the slope.
Waterproofing of the entire slope using a 15 cm thick layer of reinforced pigmented shotcrete, and installation of a new rainwater drainage system on the crest of the slope and the platform.
Km12+250(S/N)
Demolition of the existing shotcrete and slope re-profiling, as the latter was showing signs of waisting and collapse.
Construction of a buttressing wall in cyclopean concrete. Installation of a new rainwater drainage system on the crest of the embankment and the platform.
Installation of geodrains.
Wall surface finishing with pigmented roughcast.
